Campaign Story

We met October 2020, we were both helping volunteer doing humanitarian and disaster response with Team Rubicon. We both were going thru similar life situations, seeking a greater purpose thru volunteering. We had never actually served together however Our mutual volunteer buddies kept trying to get us to meet. Finally at the end of our operation we met for the first time at a bbq. We said our hellos, he made cucumber kimchi and I was quite impressed (being Korean an all) I learned he served several times in Korea in the military. We’ve been inseparable since. Both coming from medical background and having similar humanitarian hobbies, love of travel, love of food, and love for each other. We finally decided that we wanted to grow a family but after a visit to a fertility clinic we learned we would need to do IVF in order to complete our little family. Even with insurance it’s more than what we can afford. It’s frustrating as now it seems like the biological clock is ticking. So we are seeking help of others to make our dreams come true, hoping our good karma in serving others, will help serve us too.
